Reapplying to different schools

This may be a dumb question but if you are re-applying but you choose to apply to different schools than the one you applied to the first time, do they know you are a re-applicant? Because from what I've seen on secondaries there is a box to mark if you applied to that specific school before. Or does it say on the primary that you have applied to other schools before?

I believe in the application it asks if you have previously applied to (an allopathic) medical school. You are not a re-applicant to that particular new school you are applying to, but you are a re-applicant. So as long as you inform them on the primary that you are a re-applicant, they will know.
