Hi, I'm new, and can't seem to find my question asked on the search function.
My sophomore year I took intro to molecular biology and got a C (it was part of an overall weak performance my first two years of college). Since then I've worked myself up to a 3.6 total and 3.5 science by graduation (lots of upper division classes). I'm thinking of retaking some of my old poor classes, particularly that one.
Assuming I retake the course, and do well (I plan on acing the s***) out of it, and the professor is willing, would a rec letter from this guy be beneficial to my application as a testament to my improved studying and whatnot? I would specifically ask him to discuss my developments as an improved student and reaffirm that I can succeed in medical school. Thanks for the feedback!
