This professor is in the psych department but he is teaching a class called Behavioral Neuroscience...will a letter from him count as science?

Umm.. well this is a interesting question... Psych in itself is social science, but im not sure how a medical school would see it though. But neuroscience is biochem and will be without a doubt science to a medical school.

the "behavioral" part makes me think more social science... I say it would be better to err on the side of caution and find someone else.

I wonder. Psy... just get it from someone else =P

Tangentially related - premed advisor from my school said our psych's neuroanatomy doesn't count as BCPM.

Hmmm, better get another one to make sure and cover your bases.

Pretty sure that falls under "neuroscience" and "anatomy." Both of which fall under AMCAS' definition of Biology as in BCPM.

To the OP, I'd get a science rec from a prof in a BCPM department, just to be safe.
