I went to my local bookstore today and found the 3rd ed of surgical recall and 2nd ed of medicine recall each for 30$. Can anyone guide me as to what are the latest eds for thee books and whether im better off getting these than their latest counterparts cuz ive heard that in some cases the older versions are better than newer ones! Thanks.

I'll give my opinion i guess. Surgical recall is a great resource and seems to pretty much be the standard as far as review for surgery goes. It is very easy to use/read and definitely helps in the pimp protection department. The 3rd edition is great, and its what I used. I've got plenty of friends with the 4th edition and they seem to think highly of it as well. Just remember it is truely "recall" and its always good to supplement with a textbook such as lawrence, sabiston, swartz, current, etc.. As far as medicine recall goes, never even looked through it so I have no opinion either way. I used step up to medicine and liked it but thats just me. I think 30 bucs is a good price and the books should serve you well. Good luck, and hopefully I helped.
