Ok, so I submitted my VMCAS on 9/15 (over a week ago) and some of the schools maintain that they have yet to receive it. I've checked and rechecked to make sure I included these schools in my designation, and they are there. There were no submission problems to my knowledge, and my confirmation page from VMCAS says submission was successful. Any thoughts?

On a similar note, UF maintains they have yet to receive my GRE scores (sent on 8/9, I have the verifying report from ETS). UF is also "missing" my VMCAS and professional school application (again, I have the verification page and receipt in my hot little hands) Anyone else having trouble with UF and receipt of application materials? How should I handle this? I'm trying to keep my cool, but as you can imagine, I am completely worried!

I'm not sure why UF shows that they havnt recieved your stuff, although sometimes that "my application" website takes a few days to update itself. If you're really worried about UF, I would contact Tonie Henry in the office for students and instruction and ask her directly about it. She's very helpful, and is probably more 'in the know' than this forum ;-)

I had the same problem with my GRE biology score. I don't know if the GRE ever did send them (OK) an offical copy. I know I had to fax my score sheet to them...It said right on it that it was going to be sent to OK. The adcoms there said they had a lot of problems with the ETS and getting scores. I'd just keep on top of it.

When I applied last year it took a few of my schools, Upenn comes to mind, a few weeks to recieve my appication and GRE scores. When I questioned the schools, by phone not my email (no one ever seems to reply within a reasonable amount of time by email), they told me that they had proabably recived it but not sorted it yet. Especially in these last few weeks they get thousands of pieces of applications and depending on the school only have a few people to sort through it all. So check with your schools by phone, but don't worry to much it's probably there just not in your folder or on the website yet.

I don't know if they've changed it since last year, I'm assuming they haven't.. What VMCAS did last year was send the app's out to the schools in batches. At the beginning, when they didn't have that many, they sent them out whenever they had enough, then towards the end of the app cycle, they sent them out weekly. You probably got yours in right after a batch was sent out, then yours had to wait for the next batch, then wait for mail time, etc. Don't worry, there is nothing abnormal here. If the schools still haven't received them two weeks after submission, then you can start to worry, but don't stress out now. Keep your head up!

How much bugging is appropriate? I'm kind of under the assumption that they are swamped with incoming transcripts, GRE scores, etc. and that if I were to call and see it would be sort of pointless as the stuff probably hasn't been storted yet. Any thoughts?

I noticed on the UF tracking account there is a note in really fine print asking students to wait until October for phone inquiries regrading the receipt of application materials. VA-MD has been really great about emailing me whenever they receive anything. I think it's best to just try and relax for now. You're right, it probably takes awhile to sort everything...just putting it into perspective...take all of your app materials and multiply them by a thousand! That is a lot of sorting, and I don't believe the offices have too many people helping.
