So, I just took two practice tests over the past week. Both of them had literally 7-9 questions about stuff like arthropods, annelids, crustaceans, and lots of really outlandish classification questions. The last test I took had 2 questions on ear anatomy stuff and 2 on eye anatomy.
I know everything is fair game, but that's about 9-11 points on each Bio section on these topics, which is pretty ridiculous considering it's relatively unimportant.
So to recent test-takers, have you guys seen a lot of these types of questions, namely stuff on insects, plants, etc.? I don't know how accurate of a reflection this practice test was of an actual up-to-date DAT. (It was TopScore Test 2).
Any help would be great...thanks!

I do not remember exactly how many questions were asked about classifications, plants, ecology, and detailed anatomy stuff. I do know that there was definately some questions (atleast 4) that pertained to these topics. I would not bank on getting 7-9 questions about classifications but a couple would be fair game I would think.

I agree, there are definitely a few questions about classification of invertebrates. It was also useful to know stuff about the eye.

Can you be any more specific? Like you were given some names and had to classify them more specifically? Or like what kinds of questions here?

You realize we aren't going to spoon feed you questions from the DAT. Just be familiar with major classifications and basic anatomy and see what happens. It seems more and more people just want to know, "can you recite the biology section for me?" Those of us who have taken the DAT went in not knowing what to expect and I am not planning on saying anything more than I did not have the frap question and that it was a very broad test. Can we please be accountable for our own knowledge on the DAT and stop being so needy?
