I just got recertified last year in PM&R. I am good for another 10 years. Do i still need to track and try to get and of these g-damn CMEs? What are the chances that 10 years from now, i wont need to report all of them and that the rules for recertification will change?

And i dont need a guilt trip about how it is important to stay well read yada yada yada.

What is your prediction if you had to guess? thanks

my prediction is that it will be different. you'll likely still need the paper trail for state licensure no?

go NBPAS if you can

i dont think so. at least not in my state. ill probably not fall of the CME cliff, but im not going out of my way the next several years.

I’m telling ABPMR to kiss my rear next time. Or at least I hope I have the stones to say that to them next go around. Don’t need primary board anyway.

you need CMEs for state license and NBPAS so I doubt that's gonna change for ABPMR
easy CMEs = uptodate, medscape, doximity, some journal reviews
membership to AAPMR gets you one MOC2 per years which gets you CMEs

i DONT need CMEs for my state.

AAPMR does nothing for me. literally. i only sign up when there is a conference in a location i am interested in attending.

but i sort of think that i will need the CME despite the talk of MOC redesign

I have a feeling the recert test will go away. My wife is a PA and they went to quarterly quizzes instead of one big recert exam. I think Anesthesia has done the same.
