This is obviously a throw away account. I have a reckless driving misdemeanor on my record, the incident happened 7 years ago. It is not expunged so I have to put it on my application, will this hurt my chances of an acceptance?

It could as it could reflect on your character. It certainly will be an issue of concern. It probably won't bar you from licensing, but you are less attractive than an identical candidate without a record. Given that it is 7 years, you are as good as it can possibly get.

Good luck.

Don't fret. I know at least a handful of folks with DUI's that are in med school right now. The only problem is if it is a pattern...

wow, that's a misdemeanor? Jeez, this is getting ridiculous. Good luck OP, I'll sure you'll be fine.
