Hey guys, I have been wondering if getting a recommendation from a TA would be a wise choice for optometry school. OptomCAS says they just have to be co-signed with a professor. Would a TA recommendation look bad? I had a real good relationship with one TA that graded my work and I feel that he would make a better recommendation than a teacher that I did well in but didn't really talk to much. Let me know guys, I really want to clear this up before I start getting recommendations.

One of my recommendations came from a TA and was co-signed by the professor. Most of my undergrad classes were 300+ students so it was difficult to develop a close relationship with professors. I got accepted with the TA recommendation and I don't think the optometry schools would give that as an option if it wasn't ok. Don't worry about it. A recommendation from a TA who knows your work well is much more valuable than a generic rec letter from a professor.
