I looked around for this answer.... Can't seem to find it.

I already have my recommendations from the premed advisor at my school and teachers....

I also have two recommendations from doctors ready to go..... However, in order to send them out I must open them.

Is there a problem with me sending them from my home address? (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to "Look" at them.

Couldn't you just leave the letters in their sealed envelopes and enclose them in larger envelopes when sending them to AMCAS?

There are two recommendations (One for DO School and one for Med school)

Both in the same envelope.

I have an uncle who was part of review committee. He always said not to look at the recommendation letters. Try to see if the doctors can seal them in separate envelopes.

I have these sent in from the 2011 AMCAS.

I'm guessing there is no way to transfer these over?

No. Components of your 2011 application do not carry over to your 2012 application.

As to your original question, I don't know that I see anything necessarily preventing you from sending the letters from your home address, but it looks suspicious. Can't you return the letters to the physician and ask him or her to send them to AMCAS/AACOMAS directly?

I'm seriously considering doing that.....

I just really don't feel like bothering them since I don't see them on a regular basis as I did before. >.<

They have the official letterhead and signature also.... It's just the ENVELOPE that's the problem.
