Hey all, any input on what upper-level bio courses are needed for MCAT/adcoms? I will be taking the following:

A/P (full year)
BioChem
Cell/Molecular Biology

Are there any others that are crucial for MCAT/getting admitted? Genetics?

Physio, BioChem, and Genetics were the most helpful to me. Almost nothing from Cell was useful on my MCAT. Micro might be beneficial as well.

thanks----i forgot about micro, what about immunology? That's one course that was "highly recommended" on the med school website pre-admissions criteria page.

My guess is that it's there because it's a Med School class. It would be overkill for the MCAT, though. Just depends on how much time/money you have to spend and what you want to do. If you just want the bare minimum to do well on the MCAT, immuno and cell aren't necessary.
