Recommended Science Courses

I recently graduated this past May with a degree in Art Sculpture. I completed all the required prerequisites classes for dental school while completing my art degree. I am currently a post-bac student and plan to complete most of the recommended science courses beyond the prerequisites that are preferred by dental schools. This year I am taking: microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, and histology.

I can take one more class and I am undecided between genetics or zoology. I plan to take the DAT mid-summer, around early July. Any thoughts as to which class (genetics or zoology) would be more beneficial (for the DAT and dental school)?

For me zoology was more useful. There's alot Of animal classifications for dat that is hard to study on your own. Genetics for dat Is minimal.

I agree with zoology, I had quite a few classification problems.

But overall, I think you should take the topic you enjoy so you will excel. Honestly, most of the DAT bio is basic, not in-depth. You could learn it within a week.
