Hi all, I tried to avoid making a separate post to ask this question, but the recommended reading sticky is really old, and all but one post in that thread are over a year old.

What books out there do you guys recommend I skim through before beginning my Radiology rotations which are in October and November?

I Have First Aid for Radiology, but I have a feeling this is woefully inadequate and I shouldn't bother with it.

Cool thanks guys... Just curious, has anyone purchased the kindle version of the book via ipad kindle app? I was thinking this might actually be a good idea to be able to see the images on an illuminated 'computer like' screen rather than a textbook.

Probably a minor detail, but was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the kindle app on the ipad mainly.

Learning Radiology is a very good read for a general radiology rotation. But, I've found the binding to the book less than desirable. The pages seem to come out really easily. I've already lost 5 or so pages from them just falling out.

I think I'm gonna take a shot at the kindle version on my ipad.. I did all my step 2 studying on the ipad editions of step up and first and and really liked it.

plus its $10 cheaper and instant!

Wow the kindle version is very nice.. clicking on any image enlarges it to fill the screen, without loss of image quality.. very nifty feature!

I also had similar issues with the binding as did many of my classmates during my rotation. You would go to turn a page and it would fall out before you could touch it (maybe slight hyperbole). But I lost about 10 pages or so, even after being really careful with it.

So, if you can handle reading on the iPad that is probably the best way to go about it.

The material is great and if you read it once or twice (and have good lectures) you will come away knowing a lot more than the interns on any of your services.
