Hey everyone, sorry I'm tight on time to use the search function.

I've gotten a few letters from US schools (I'm Canadian) saying my MCAT was really good and that I should apply to their schools. Does anyone know if these letters actually hold any weight for these schools or are they really just that desperate to recruit? I recently got one from Washington University of St.Louis. Pretty sure its a DO school.

Thanks

Washington U in St. Louis is not a DO school.

Yep, pretty sure that's an MD school. Regardless, I'd take those recruiting letters with a grain of salt...I got one from Harvard after I took the MCAT. Let's just say, there ain't no way in hell I'm getting into Harvard. 😛

I did receive a recruitment letter from an MD school, I applied and received an II so you never know.

If you match up to their stats (for a Canadian student, not the average US matriculant) I'd say why not?
