Come Recruiting time,

Do alot of people wait for oncampus recruiting, or are you networking with people on Linkedin, contacts through previous internships, cold calling/ cold emailing?

I believe that it is essential to use linkedin and cold mailing to secure a position in my most desired location as I live 300 miles away. Thoughts?
