Has anyone else found the new word, figure/table, and reference limit for the red journal a little too restrictive? I mean counting references in just a 4,000 word limit article is just ... 👎

IMHO, 4000 is plenty for a scientific paper.

And what's up with the 20 references limit? Honestly I have started avoiding the red journal for some manuscripts because of the recent changes including the $75 submission fee.
