Redundancy in ERAS app

I've heard that PD's don't like redundancy in the application. For example: Paid research? Would it go in the "work experience" or "research" section or did you guys put it in both sections???

I was paid for several summer research interships, but I listed them ONLY under research. In fact, my "work" section was totally blank. Every summer in college was spent doing a (paid) research intership! I also volunteered as an EMT for several years. I put that under "volunteer" as opposed to "work" because I didn't get paid. I'd list stuff only once.

I definitely would only list each activity once.
