I wanted to see if anyone has used Referencenow.com in the past. I recently heard that alot of schools will not accept letters from referencenow.com. Has anyone used this service and run into problems?

Thanks😀

I haven't used referencenow but had no problems with schools accepting my recs last year from a similar thing (I used interfolio.com )

In response to a thread in Pre-Osteopathic:

Interfolio?!

Interfolio bought ReferenceNow a while back.

I applied to 22 schools (15 MD, 7 DO), and 21 accepted them without comment. KCOM was the ONLY school that did not accept my letters from ReferenceNow.

At one point, Georgia Tech outsourced its undergraduate LOR services to ReferenceNow, but I don't know if that's still true.

ok I didn't know they were the same - but they still send me emails etc as interfolio so I guess the fact I hadn't noticed the changeover shows how seamless the service is!!

I think there is another one out there that is cheaper than interfolio but i cannot remember its name - which is unfortunate as one of my friends used the other one and though cheaper had much worse service than i got from interfolio...

I used referencenow this application cycle and have nothing but positive comments about their service. It makes everything easier for your recommenders too since they only need to fax the letter once and don't have to send them to each school. You can also check your mailing history online which is a great way to keep track of things. Go for it!

Yes, this was a major advantage - when I requested my letters went out, they went out THAT DAY! Not a week later when the person in the office or the letter writer got around to it - and you could check the status to be sure they had gone out. Very reassuring!

I used interfolio and had no problems. Ohio State outsourced their reference service to that company after I gradutated, so I didn't have much choice in which company I used (all of a sudden, my letters were just there . . .).

I was happy with the service, as well. Competent, quick, etc.
