Refinance student loans?

Curious if anyone has refinanced student loans recently and what rate you're getting. I'm thinking I would like to refinance about half my loans which average about 7%. As long as it would be a better rate. I'm assuming people are getting a little better rate than that.

Private loans with fixed will get you a lower interest.

Federal consolidation will give you a weighted avg of interests.

Careful. You might want to study them before you opt into one. Do some math and figure out the + and -.

Only refinance if you can get a lower rate and you're ready to pay them off as fast as possible.

If any type of federal forgiveness was a possibility for you, it will go away when you refinance.
