Hi, I am not sure what forum to post this in, but this sounded like the best place.

My mother-in-law is becoming big into refluxology, rain drop therapy, and tuning fork therapy, and is trying to get my wife to do it as well.

I have never heard of any of these until my wife told me about them. When she or my mother-in-law try to explain them to me, they make it sound like a load of crap.

So I want to know, is there any merit to these type of therapies? Are there papers or anything supporting these, or links to conduct further research on these therapies?

Your mother-in-law is studying GERD? What's wrong with that?

If you mean, "reflexology", try hitting up PubMed, you will find that there is little to no evidence on its claims, clinically. This goes for the other things you've mentioned as well.

And the OP should tell their mother-in-law to try out some craniosacral therapy and a bottle of Asea while she's at it....

What exactly makes this a "therapy"? It's quack garbage, nothing to do with "therapy" or "therapists" or healthcare whatsoever. It is alternative hippie crapola.
