hey guys,

so i've been relentlessly browsing through SDN optometry forums in an effort to prepare myself for my upcoming interviews at PCO & SUNY (yikes!) and i found a bunch of threads in 2002-2004 about opticians beginning to refract and optometrists beginning to perform minor surgeries and prescribe oral medications.

can anybody update me on the recent advances in both professions? i can't seem to find information about the current state of these issues.
