Refresher question

At a University, I took CHEM 1 (fall 02) and CHEM 2 (spring 03) as well as BIO 1 (fall 03) and BIO 2 (spring 04), all with labs. I received As all semesters. My question is, should I retake these courses since it has been awhile since I took them? I need ORGO 1/ORG 2/BIOCHEM/HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY, so I am wondering if retaking the classes would be the best option to relearn the material. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I don't think it would be necessary... Usually there is some review of material if it is required for the specific class. Ultimately it's up to you if you feel you will be more prepared or whatever, but I would say that it's probably not necessary. Good luck!

perhaps buy a used (aka cheap) kaplan review book which you can use for the DAT when it comes time. can easily read over the ~15 review chapters of chemistry in a week. Also can read over the same amount ov organic chemistry in another week and then be truly well off. Even if you dont understand it, you will absorb alot of concepts and ideas.

no need to retake classes and jeopardize a perfectly good GPA. just use DAT destroyer, Barrons AP Bio and Chad's videos you'll be good to go.

I don't think you need to retake the classes, but review will be necessary for Organic chemistry. You will need a basic understanding of molecular orbitals, IMAFs, energy diagrams and the different types of bonding. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot of overlap from the gen chem to o. chem.

Reviewing bio 1 & 2 will also be a good idea for physiology and biochemistry. You should really know most topics from bio 1 & 2, but you will need to know all of this for the DAT anyways so it will be useful studying.
