Regarding transcripts and LOE

If I sent in my transcripts and LOE already but haven't submitted, would the status of transcripts and LOE change to received?

Or do I have to submit my application in order for me to actually see this?

You don't have to submit your application to see which transcripts were received and on what day. I suspect the same is true for LoRs, but I'm not positive.

I can confirm that the transcripts and LOE do show up as received. I still haven't submitted my application but all my transcripts are in.

The LOE/Transcripts are separate. Once either are received they'll be updated, regardless of whether your app was submitted or not.
I received a 'Received' status update for both LOE/Transcript before I submitted my app.
