Does anyone know specifically what the reimbursement for EMG is? Someone at my hospital said it is an $800 test. Is this true?

Could be. Depends on how extensive the test is and who's paying. Nerve conduction and EMG is reimbursed based on the number of extremities tested, whether or not you EMG paraspinal muscles, whether or not you to F-waves, whether or not you did rep stim, etc etc etc. So there is a lot of variability on the reimbursement. Also, different insurers reimburse at different rates, i.e., medicare <<< than private.
