What do you do if you're rejected after reapplying? What if you've improved your MCAT and GPA (3.7/34), got more clinical experience, and still get rejected everywhere?

I'm just somewhat worried right now. After trying to get in everything early (submitted AMCAS 6/7, returning secondaries two to three days after receiving them), I just found out that my committee letter may be sent in as late as September. This means, of course, that I may be applying late again.

How do people usually improve after being rejected twice? I could really use some advice. Thanks in advance.

What does your PS look like? Is it a cool story or is it "I want to be a doctor to help people".

I started out with an anecdote, and tied it into my experiences. I had the writing center look over it several times, but I altered it significantly on the last day ( I was told it sounded like a prose CV), so I really can't say how well it was written.

It doesn't really stand out that much, though.

I'm a reapplicant too. Were your secondaries in late the first 2 times? I did mine in November/December last year, this time around I'm aiming for July.

Tell your committee to use the same damn letter they used last time! Your committee letter wlll not make or break you, but being late probably will. There's no reason someone with your stats won't get into med school, unless you're not mentioning some other weakness in your app.

If you get rejected again, keep trying!

your stats are fine. as long as your EC's are average, you apply early, and there are no glaring holes in your app then i think you should find success..if being a doctor is really what you want to do, then keep trying
