It seems that there are by far more interviews given out than rejections (judging by the threads, 4 pages and 2 pages respectively). Does this mean that those that have not gotten rejections are on hold or just silent rejections? I haven't heard back from majority schools and I was complete way before others getting invites on this thread. Do I assume silent rejection?:scared::scared:

It is probably a mixture of both. Program Directors and Admission Committees tend to place applicants into three buckets: invite, hold, reject. Because MCATs are reported into late October, that is when no further changes happen into most applications (except for research articles or papers) and when most programs start moving the hold group into the reject category. The other aspect is that PDs and ACs tend to interview first the best applicants (Some programs are exceptions and mix groups). For the present cycle, the extra tardiness in verification by AMCAS is also playing a role. However, my program, for example, still has about 35% of slots available for interviews.

If you have verified, you might consider adding more schools...
