Hey guys, would appreciate anybody's thoughts on this. For summer 2009 (and they've kept me on during the school year 1 day/week) I've been working at a granting agency, doing program evaluation. Although I haven't actually used SPSS to do analysis myself here (too expensive to install on a student's computer - even though I have guided other people who didn't know what they were doing!) I have done all kinds of other analysis using excel, etc., and done lots of analysis of qualitative responses. I'm just not sure if it would be worth including a letter of reference from my boss with some of my applications? The letter would be very positive, but it's not really an academic reference, per se, so I'm not sure whether it would hold much value for any schools. On the other hand, I've had some people tell me that any statistical experience, no matter how insignificant, can be valuable. If it matters, I'm applying to 8 clinical, 2 counselling, 1 MSW and 1 MA (Developmental psychology) programs. I will also have 3 academic/clinical references for each program.

Thanks in advance!
