After getting an email stating that I was accepted into UMD on the 18th of January I am still waiting for my letter in the snail mail. I called them and told them to send another one. They sent another one a week ago and still no letter. What I am getting at is if you are waiting to hear from schools about your acceptance I would call them at least once every 2 weeks, because if I would not have gotten the email I would be waiting around for my lost acceptance in the mail. If this can happen to me twice in a row it has to have happened to someone else. SO CALL THOSE SCHOOLS! deadline is coming up and I still don't have it! I'm freakin out. Post Office sux.

Yes. This is key. I sent my deposit to Buffalo last year (they give you around 2 weeks to do it after they send your acceptance letter), and because of the PO, they almost didn't get it in time. I called a few days before it was due (I had sent it a week and a half earlier) and they hadn't recieved it yet... so I over-nighted another one (another $25). Just after the deadline, they got the one through snail mail. The PO almost cost me my space in the class. And I had to spend another $20 on a stop payment for my 1st check. So if you have any questions concerning admissions, your application, etc, call.
