so far it looks pretty split. anybody have input that may sway some votes?

We are a "community" here, as it were, and I enjoy knowing about everyone's progress as individuals. I like being able to ask people I've seen interview at places I'm interviewing at questions about the experience. I like being able to say "Congratulations, potuhusky, on the great acceptance/interview! And wtf does your name mean?" MDapplicants.com is anonymous, and I think not as helpful, plus it doesn't have enough profiles.

Well said.

MDAplicants is EXTREMELY informative if you know how to use it. You can find out exactly what the grades of the school you are interested in are interviewing at that moment.

I personally hate the stickies. It would be better if they could get stuck at the bottom of the page and not the top.

or maybe we could put our SDN usernames on MDapplicants.com...

this is a great idea... the only problem i have with mdapplicants.com is that there is no function to filter profiles based on the application year. also, we should definitely encourage people to add comments because it helps to know the relative timeline and maybe even thoughts about the schools.

i think the stickies would be more useful if they were updated more frequently.. and it seems so redundant to add a whole new post when someone is just adding their name to the list, b/c then the thread gets to be 40 pages long. there should be a way to edit the original list or maybe combine some stickies, like accepted with interviews, and waitlists with rejections..
having like 5 big stickies at the top makes the page of new threads alot shorter and im sure fairly new stuff that gets pushed to the second page is overlooked.

...it's on my list of things to do.

Unfortunately, in medical school, it's a long list. 😉
