Took a class called numerical computing. It was math 4800 when I signed up for it, but there were computer science majors in it taking it as csci 4800, its crosslisted equivalent.

I got a b, which detracts from my bcpm.

Can I call it a comp sci class on my amcas so it's not counted towards the bcpm?

if it the course name shows up as MATH 4800 on your transcript, it will count towards BCPM.

I doubt you'll be able to do it, but you can try if you feel that the course content was primarily computer science. It sounds like it wasn't though

AMCAS also looks at the course title and not just the department. For example, my 'applied human anatomy' class from the occ health department was reclassified as BCMP.
