What happened? The article I read said that he returned to the hospital from complications from gallbladder surgery. Did they bag the CBD?

My bet would be cholangitis or gallstone pancreatitis - he probably died of complications of gallbladder disease, not gallbladder surgery.

intra-abdominal sepsis has a very high mortality. i'm sure the surgeon did not want this outcome, but it's surgery - **** happens.
