Repeating pre-requisites

Hi,

Does anyone know if I were to repeat pre-requisites like chemistry today that I took ages ago as an undergrad will count more towards my science gpa? I like to re-take these classes since they will help me with my mcat science sections and hopefully improve my science grades.

Thats what I am going to do this fall. I am repeating gen chem and physics and preparing for the mcat this april. My pre med advisor said this was a good idea and would show my desire to get in med school.
