So my first interview is tomorrow and I have gotten mixed messages about this question. I am trying to keep it short and concise but I have a lot of reasons that lead me to medicine. In my PS, I focused on "the" defining moment that made me think "this is really what I want to do". I know in secondaries people say to not repeat you AMCAS info because you want to maximize the amount of info they have about you instead of repeating yourself. Is this the same for interview questions? I want to talk about "the" moment and then explain I was exposed to medicine early on which sparked my interest and I wanted to explore all options while in college/high school. So when the moment happened, I was able to connect all the dots of my interests and realize they intersect in medicine. The interview is blind so they have not seen my app before or during but I assume they will see it after. Since the PS topic and the "why medicine" are the same question I would assume it would be fine to talk about the same thing (but shortened of course).

Your interviewer may or may not see your primary and secondary application essays after they speak with you. Some schools blind their evaluators to other application components to get less biased scores for any one area of evaluation. I think your strategy for answering a Why Medicine interview question concisely but similarly is fine.
