hey guys. I finished my general surgery residency overseas and was wondering if I am at a disadvantage/advantage if I apply to repeat my residency in the states.
Thank you

It will depend on where you trained to some degree, but in general you are at a disadvantage. It's easier to train a blank slate than it is to untrain any bad habits one might have and then retrain them.

Harder to get in. Probably you will have an advantage in your operating skills and disadvantage in your communication and working with colleagues.
