If I took a bio class at a university which was 4 credits but retook it at a cal state that split the lecture and lab (3 and 1 credits), will it be replaced? I initially got a C (4 credit) and retook it for an A in both lecture and lab at a cal state.

Thanks!

you should be able to, but I'd call AACOMAS and double check. the way the application works is that you mark the repeated courses and when your application is verified, the most recent is calculated into your GPA. if there's a question about which repeat and you find that the representative who verified your application did it wrong, you are able to review and let AACOMAS know of the correction afterward.

If the new class was 4 credits, and you got an A in both lecture and lab (as you mentioned), then I don't see why it wouldn't be replaced. Your best bet is to give AACOMAS a call to see what their take is. (Although they've been known to give differing information on this topic in the past, so be warned that you should ask the person you are talking to on the phone to verify their information with a nearby supervisor. I can't tell you how many threads I read this cycle that were entitled, "Course substitution not accepted by AACOMAS, GPA much lower than expected!")

Thank you and Alienman52 so much! I emailed AACOMAS but I will call them as well!
