How terrible was the mistake? Difference of 1 year? 1 month?
The consensus is that you should not request change to any mistakes because it will only delay your verification. Most of the time the mistake will be harmless if let be.

it was two months. i wish i double checked more!!!!
i was considering withdrawing my application, but then i read that you can't submit another application this cycle if you do that.
then i read on the website that you can't submt changes at all.
i just don't want the schools to think i'm purposely lying. i dont' really care about the delay as long as it is possible to make a change.

ahha wow..dude im in your same situation this is insane....except mine is a 1 year mistake and im pretty sure its going to ruin me. You are only 2 months tahts not bad at all i WISH mine was 2 months, not one year. Once you submit you cant change, thats what amcas said when i called them so im just ****ed. You could call amcas but i think they would tell you the same. honestly though its 2 months thats nothing, id just leave it be. Or you could update schools...im just going to send schools an update that i made the mistake and hope i havnt ruined 4 years of work over a 1 digit typo. I almost feel just like not wasting time on secondaries after my mistake.

If amcas wont fix yours, then i say just leave it and dont even worry like i said 2 months is absolutely nothing...if it makes you feel better you can laugh at how stupid i am for a one year mistake-_-. Oh you could also send an update on the secondary or through email to each school you are applying to, just ask them which they would like. But for 2 months, its not even worth the trouble imo. I mean lets say you worked for 18 months, but your mistake results in it seeming like you worked for 16 months, no one is going to even know the difference at all.

Calm down, people. Doctors make mistakes too. Nobody's application is going to be trashed because of a typo. If it's an issue, update your schools once they've received your app.

1. this is what happens when you rush to submit your application ...submitting a perfect application that would've been verified a week later would've been much better (and much less stressful)

2. it's not that big of a deal .....stuff happens

Okay so I started volunteering at this place last year for about 4 hrs/wk during the last month and a half of summer. I am still listed as a volunteer and plan(waiting on them) to start again this summer. However, on the form I listed my start date from 6/2010 to current. and 4hrs/wk like my advisor said. BUT I forgot to list that I was unable to volunteer during the school year! Does this make my application void since they think I am lying?

Why do I keep seeing this post everywhere?!?! Lololol

Just wondering, if I put down the wrong person to contact, will danger my application? or should I just update the school saying I have a more reachable contact that I want to change to? Does it really matter though that the contact is wrong, will they even contact those reference?

Seriously, guys? ... Maybe the one year mistake is a big deal (but really only if they call to verify it and that's highly unlikely and would only affect your app at the one school that called for verification). Since it's already been done, just let it go.

As for the contact, one again, don't worry about it. You'll be fine.

What is the answer to wrong hours caculated for volunteer hours?? The application had me write how many hours per week and I wanted to put none because I did not volunteer every week.. so instead I put 1..(making it 100) In reality I worked for a total of about 25...Now I feel like I should have put none.. feeling pretty crappy.. wondering if I should email all my schools...
