Hey all,
I hope you've decided that the Iphone will change your life and then hacked it to use it on Tmobile's network. Anyway, even the ATT users can jailbreak their phone to add native 3rd party apps like the iflashcard app.

See the app here: http://code.google.com/p/iflashcards/
To learn how to do the one touch jailbreak, just go to www.tuaw.com or check www.hackint0sh.com

Anyway, I'm looking for people to help me make all of medical school related flash cards at:
http://www.flashcardexchange.com/

for example: http://www.flashcardexchange.com/flashcards/view/370272

into the folder / .txt format so that they can be viewed on iflashcard. All information on making flash cards in the iflashcard format can be found on the google code page.

Thanks, for your help and I hope you find the flash card site useful.

I think you can copy and paste the qestion and answers in to excel then in to .txt since you need one .txt with q and then the other .txt with answers and the lines have to correlate.

Anyone up for it?

mental case is the app made by the flashcardexchange.com people, so don't see why you'd want to jailbreak for some crap app when there's an official one readily available.

I couldn't find it either?

OP, I use a program called gFlash. It lets you write the flashcards in google documents and then upload them to your device (iphone/ipod). I have thousands of flashcards for biochem/physio/neuro. The beauty of this progam is you can share the documents with anyone you want. Also, the progam has a searchable database or flashcards.

If you have the MentalCase app, you can download Flashcardexchange cards directly to your phone. You don't need to buy the computer application, but you'll want it if you want to type in your own flashcards. The site has a ton of Step 1 related material -- banks of path images, FA flashcards, you name it. Just be sure to browse through them as some are obviously better than others.

The nice thing about the phone app is that it allows you to take a picture of something and make it one side of a flashcard, which can save you a lot of time.

I'd recommend not wasting your time folks.

I even managed to put kaplan qbank on my ipod the past year, and ended up not using it. You'll get all worked up about putting stuff on there, and then realize it's better to just be doing UW anyway.

well on your laptop/desktop you would probably just want to use the website itself (has a nice study interface built in). I think there is a desktop app available, but only for Mac.

as for the iphone app, search flashcard exchange and you'll find it. anyone who posts their flashcard set to the site usually makes it available to the public, just a matter of searching tags (like "USMLE" or "Step1" or "Pharmacology"). theres some killer Goljan sets, including pictures.

i feel like i should get paid by flashcardexchange, considering the amount of times i've pitches their site on sdn already
