Requesting more advice, please :D What should I do this summer?

Hey again all. Okay I was reading some about Kaplan courses during the summer and was wondering if it would be a good idea for me.

Here's my breakdown, I have a 3.52 GPA, Organic II & Physics II left to take plus 1 more Biology class most likely Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy of Genetics or something. I have over 500 hours at a local hospital for volunteer service. I volunteer at OKC National Memorial now. I work at a hospital part time in Materials Management 16 hours the weekends, been doing this since January of 2004.

With all that said, my options are taking classes at OU like Physics II, get summer experience like shadow a DO, take a study course like Kaplan or TPR, and or start studying for the MCAT.

I'm thinking for sure I will take the MCAT April 06, by then I'll have all my pre-reqs done.

Okay any advice please? 😀

If you are taking the April mcat you def. don't need to start studying for it during the summer....Not until January, or December at the earliest. So I would nix studying/prep course options. Prep courses are designed for closer to the mcat. You could study all summer if you wanted to take it in August. But not April. So that said, I would lean more towards classes AND some extracurric things like the shadowing you said.
