Requesting Transcripts

So... And PLEASE correct me if I am wrong. But the applications from ADEA AADSAS for those applying 2013 and matriculating 2014 open June 3rd.

My question is whether or not it's okay to request transcripts be sent to ADEA before the application opens. A reason I am asking is because I was having some confusion about the application process. Of course submitting all materials earlier is better, but to my understanding, nothing can be uploaded or filled until the application is released (June 3rd).

That being said, how are people able to submit their applications and finish doing so on the first day it is released (June 3rd). DOn't things like Match Forms need to be printed and are required for submitting evaluation letters and transcripts? And aren't these forms unavailable until June 3rd? Same logic goes for evaluators submitting letters of recommendation. How is all this stuff accomplished and one day?

Am I making any sense? Help a brotha out! Thanks in advance!

On June 3, you fill out minimal info, print the form, take it to the registrar, they process it and get it in the mail. That's worth doing on the first day. No need to actually submit the full application on the first day unless you're ready.

Yes, you need a match form with your transcript, so you cannot send them anywhere until you have that on June 3rd. I printed out my match forms the second week of June (opened June 6th, I believe) and I handed them to my letter writers(I didn't do digital submission through aadsas). I attached my transcript match form to my transcript request form and gave it to the clerk at my univ mid-June. I submitted towards the end of June (26th I think), and they verified my GPA and mailed out the apps by mid-July to schools. I don't think a few days terribly makes a difference. Get your stuff in during June, but don't fret if it's not all done June 3rd.
