Hey guys, just one quick question.

For those schools that state a minimum required shadowing hours, what will we have to turn in to show that we have actually shadowed X amount of hours? Or will I have to bug the dentist I shadowed again?

On the application there will be a space where you can note down the contact information of the dentist you shadowed. If schools question your shadowing hours, this allows them to contact the dentist to prove the validity of your app.

A few schools (I think temple) will require to have your LOR from the dentist specify how many hours you shadowed, they want to see minimum of 30.

Majority of schools don't have a way of checking shadowing hours, but you need to be careful tho... if you shadowed for 5 hours and put down 100 in AADSAS (this is the only place you actually specify how many hours you shadowed), the person interviewing you might start asking you questions about the shadowing experience.... once you start talking, there is a good chance he'll quickly pick up the hint that you don't know wtf ur talking about
