Two schools have invited me for an interview for the same date. What excuse should I tell the second school in order to reschedule? Should I tell them that I already confirmed with the first one? Or should I make up another excuse?

Any advice is welcomed.

Thanks.

Honesty is the best policy. They know full well that we are all applying to multiple schools. I would be very surprised if they took it in a negative way.

I agree. You are better off letting them know that there are other schools competing for you too. My buddy just called to reschedule an interview at NOVA. They were happy to reschedule, but will likely have to schedule for a later date (my buddy's date was October 13, and is now sometime in January).

schools know you are applying to other places ---it shouldn't be a shocker--- just tell them the truth 😀

I would be honest. And I wouldn't reschedule the one you think you have a better chance at getting in or would rather be at because you might get bumped after Dec. 1st when you reschedule. You might not... but just something to think about.

Tell them that you have been instructed by the judge not to leave the state for the next 30 days. You need to reschedule for an appointment more than 30 days in the future.

Alternatively, you could tell them the truth.

...ehem....this is a real killer....
