Hi -

I've come across a slight nightmare in scheduling - are most places amenable to rescheduling interviews? I've got 4 places that all want to interview me the same dates.

Thanks

I've had to reschedule several interviews, and every school has been accomodating as long as they have an open date. I'm sure it will be more difficult as interview season goes on when there are fewer interview slots that are open.

separate question. How does one decline an interview, especially this early in the game, without looking like you are insulting the program?

Do the same thing that most programs do when they get an application they aren't interested in: don't respond at all.

Wrong! It's called manners.

You should respond, at least it let's the program know that you aren't interested, and let's the program find someone else to interview.

Basically I said, thanks for the interview offer, I regret that I will not be interviewing at your prgram. Please remove my application from consideration. Good luck during your recruitment process. Sincerely, JDG.

Yeah, you're right. 😳
We should take the high road. 🙂
