Rescheduling the DAT

Does anyone know if the Prometric Testing Services charge you if you reschedule your test date? And up to how many times can u reschedule?

Good question, I think it costs 10 dollars.
How many times, I don't know.
I think as many as you want. Don't know why they would put a limit.

I just talked to ada a few days ago and they told me the rescheduling fee was bumped to 25 dollars. We sort of had an argument about it, but in the end, she won. 😡

the first three times i rescheduled it was $10. but low and behold, went to reschedule again last week and its now $25. gotta love it. ...i did it online too.

I say to reschedule it if you feel that you're not fully prepared for the exam. Regardless if it's $25 or $10.

Think about it.

Not spend the $25 and take the exam not fully prepared..... and possibly having to take the exam again in the future, which would cost you another $190.

or

take it when you're ready and have no regrets... come on what is $25 when it determines your chances in getting to dental school...

shoot i'll send over some money to you if that is the only factor that's stopping you from rescheduling.... 😛

heh. Well my exam is on Aug. 19th and still touching on Bio right now... If I feel that I'm not ready, I'll have no problem extending it.

I rescheduled online in mid-July and it cost $10. I rescheduled online again a week ago and it was $25.

The same thing happened with me; I thought the rescheduling fee was just on an increasing scale to discourage endless pushbacks, but I guess I got unlucky and rescheduled after they raised prices. I think it's good to have a deadline for when to take the test though, because it motivates you to get things done in a timely fashion, and it also helps you set a timeline for when to just call it quits. This is especially true for bio, where there's so much material to cover and people can study an entire summer and still be blindsided by some questions on the DAT.
