Hi,

I am recent graduate from an Ivy League school and currently applying to med schools. I have already graduated and in this interim year, I am considering getting a job. Most people recommend me to get a research job since it helps in the application process. Is it true that working as a research assistant highly looked upon by Admission committees? What are my other job possibilities? Could pursue a interim job in consulting? How would med school look at that? I am only limited to health care related jobs? Has anyone had any experience with med school while working in business?

What if I don't get into med school? Then working as a laboratory assistant could possibly hinder the job application process for financial institution.

Thanks in advance
