hey guys, is there a place where i can put my research presentations and publications in AADSAS. Because for the research part, you are only given 175 characters (including spaces) to describe your research activity, so where do i put research publications, presentations, fellowships?????

If you don't find room, put it in your PS and talk about it in your interviews.

last year, i made my poster presentation and publication their own separate categories. i felt that this strategy helped to give them spotlight attention without a chance of being cursorily scanned over. 😀 and a number of my interviewers positively commented on them. 😉 so work it, yo! :luck:

Bullet point:

Published: Neuron 53, 353-369 ; Neuroscience 28, 7121-7129 ; PLoS Biology 6(5): e125
Fellowship: HHMI at UCLA
Poster Presentation: Drosophila Conference 2007, 2008, 2009

etc

If you have a lot, you can include it in your personal statement I guess, but what I described was quite a bit, and it fit in 169 characters

edit: oh yea, you can totally make them separate categories...

are you guys saying to add separate categories under the "research experience" section (5 entries in research experience section). Like so far i have only one "entry" in the research section, so I should just add more entries which include presentations, fellowships, and publications????

did anyone else use this same tactic???

I titled one of the research experiences "Publications" and then I said I have x amount of publications and x presentations based on those. I couldn't find enough room either and there is no way to create enough space to give the info on each one. I figure that the interviewer will not read my publications before interview so they might not care exactly what they are. It will hopefully be a source of conversation during an interview and I can ellaborate more there. I also briefly eluded to them on my personal statement.
