I have been a research assistant for 3 plus years now, in a genetics lab and a child development lab. I am planning to take a year off after I graduate to figure out what I want to do/ if grad school is right for me. I have been looking at research assistant jobs and my important question is, is it wise to apply and look at clinical research assistant jobs? The job sounds/looks amazing and interesting. The salary is good and seems like a nice job to have and pursue for a good number of years. It is still research but it is not often direct psychology research (although I have seen mental illness and child development clinical research assistant positions). Would this be a wise idea and any advice/words on the topic?

Thanks for the help

Clinical research assistant seems to be more medical
