Hello everyone!
By BCPM gpa is currently suffering quite badly. As in, it is a 3.3 after having just finished by sophomore year. My overall will definitely be at a 3.7 come application time due to my non-BCPM major, but I obviously need major BCPM repair, and quickly. Additionally, the downside of my non-science major is that I have a very limited number of remaining science courses I can fit in (probably 5 more).
I was contemplating applying for 3 credits of research this summer (a guaranteed A or A+ with my PI). Is this worth it? It worries me that some schools might filter this out when looking closely at apps (I know my university's committee does so), and that it will be a massive waste of money (not only will I not continue to get paid by the lab, but I will have to pay for the credits). Money isn't a huge issue, however, if this gives me a boost that will actually be meaningful (which I desperately need). Any advice?
