Hello all. I am a second-year medical student who is looking at options for a 4 week research-elective spot. Anyone have experience going outside of their "home institution" for a research spot?

Might be tough to get anything done in only a month, unless it's something you can continue after you leave. Doing it at your own institution might allow you to continue working on the project even after the official elective is over, as well as gain a mentor and possibly future letter writer close to home. JMO.
