Special Opportunity in Cardiac Surgery Research
We have a Cardiac Surgery Research Fellowship available for 12 months in a very active clinical as well as basic research department focusing on the surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation, aortic and mitral valve diseases. The program includes a comprehensive system of information with long-term follow-up including clinical parameters as well as health-related quality of life affording one of the most extensive surgical ablation databases in the country. Additionally, our basic science research program provides a rich environment to combine bench science with this rich clinical data to pursue various research agendas.
Research Fellow Requirements:
¨ MD/DO
¨ Past experience in clinical and/or basic research
¨ Experience in cardiac disease
¨ Must be self guided
¨ Must be highly proficient in the English language and have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
¨ Good critical thinking skills; must be an intuitive, innovative, and out of the box thinker
