For those of you who did research. How did you post it on the Application. Did you guys put ur Abstract down? all the places it was published? What if your research was published in like 30 different places? What did you do then? Because I am thinking of just cut and pasting the abstract and also listing some sources it was published. Also when you guys went to interviews, did you bring copies of your publications? thanx. Sorry for so many questions 😕

Hey Jayhov,

I just wrote a paragraph about each lab I worked in, the main project I worked on and publications that came out of each lab. That was long enough I thought. I don't think you need to include publications in your essay or bring them with you to your interview. If they care that much, they'll look it up. I guess you could bring them to your interview if you think that's a good idea.

Good luck!

Same here, I just wrote a brief synopsis of the projects I have worked on. I don't think it necessary to give any other info. I would agree to the idea of bringing to your interview...if you think you will use your research as any angle of answering your questions, it wouldn't hurt to have a copy with you.

Although, I am sure they really don't need all that...

Hey there,
For the question asking about research I just wrote a general summary of what the research was about, I decided there was no point in getting too technical about it. If there were many publications just list some of them (maybe the more impressive ones).

I also have a question for anyone willing to answer: is it OK to list non-science research in this section? I have done an extensive amount of psyc research for my major and I'm contemplating whether I should put it down.

I would list the psych research. It sounds pertinent, especially if you can somehow relate the psych research as helping you be a better dentist one day.

I think anything and everything you do helps describe who you are and how you ended up where you are now. It that research helped define you and your path to dentistry, then definitely list it.

I would just write the title of the project, where it got published (if it did), laboratory techniques, and main mentor + PI (principle investigator)
